Where it is
Acaú is at the southern tip of the Pitimbu municipality, washed by the Goiana River basin — which marks the border between Paraíba and Pernambuco. It is, literally, the last beach in Paraíba.
From the point of view of anyone staying in João Pessoa, it is the opposite end of the map: set the whole day aside.

Generally calm sea and sandbanks that form shallow bathing areas at low tide. That combination makes Acaú one of the best beaches for those travelling with children.
