Manaíra is the most complete district: the city's greatest concentration of restaurants, tapioca houses and nightlife, Manaíra Shopping a few minutes away and a wide, tree-lined shore. It is the best choice for anyone wanting to do everything on foot — and it is where MAREVI concentrates much of the studios and apartments it manages.

Tambaú is the tourist heart: craft market, kiosks, classic hotels and the departure point for the Picãozinho boats. It is the most central spot on the shore — everything is "on the way". MAREVI also manages short-stay apartments here.

Cabo Branco is the contemplative shore: a long promenade, sea framed by cliffs and a quieter, more residential feel. Ideal for anyone travelling to rest, walk early and watch the sunrise — Ponta do Seixas is right there.

A fourth name to watch: Bessa (and Jardim Oceania), north of Manaíra — quiet beach, a district on the rise and new places to stay arriving.

Restaurants, shopping centre and shore on foot. The most practical district for anyone who would rather not depend on a car.

Manaíra or Tambaú. Both put restaurants, the beach and day trips within walking distance or a short cab ride — and they sit in the middle of the seafront, which makes any itinerary easier.

Manaíra wins on that count: supermarket, pharmacy, restaurants and beach within a few blocks. Tambaú comes next, with the advantage that the boat trips leave from its own beach.

Manaíra holds the city's dining scene — from the traditional tapioca counter to the seafood restaurant. Tambaú has the tourist classics; Cabo Branco is homelier and quieter.
